Save The Date: 28th Annual Gala
April 28, 2025
For more than 125 years, Volunteers of America-Greater New York has been serving individuals and families in need, becoming one of the largest providers of human services in New York City, Northern New Jersey, and Westchester County. Our annual gala is one of our biggest fundraising events of the year, benefiting VOA-GNY’s 70+ housing, health and wealth-building programs across the region.
28th Annual Gala
Monday, April 28, 2025
The New York Public Library – Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, New York City
Mark your calendar and join us at our annual gala to honor individuals and partners making an impact in the community and celebrate the progress we are making together as we strive to end homelessness.
Tickets will go on sale soon. Until then, browse our sponsorships and underwriting opportunities and contact Ayesha Khan, Chief Development Officer, at akhan@voa-gny.org to become a sponsor.
28th Annual Gala Benefit Committee
Our Benefit Committee will help make VOA-GNY’s 28th annual gala the most successful yet! Committee Members are given the goal of raising at least $30,000 through table and ticket sales (or purchase), and securing unique auction items. All members will be meaningfully recognized and receive valuable sponsorship benefits. Reach out to Ayesha Khan, Chief Development Officer, at akhan@voa-gny.org to learn more.
Table/ticket sales may be accomplished in a number of ways:
- Secure corporate sponsorship
- Get individuals to purchase full or partial tables
- Purchase a table (or two) yourself and invite guests who may support the event night-of
- Act as a “table captain” helping to fill the room with people who will enjoy themselves and are interested in learning about our work. Invite friends, family, and colleagues to purchase individual tickets, completing a full table or tables. Others on the Committee or VOA-GNY staff may place additional guests at your table(s).
Live Auction Items can bring in significant funds if they are unique, high-end and highly desirable like:
- Travel destinations and round-trip air travel
- House seats to sold-out performances with opportunity to meet celebrities
- Chef-hosted meals in winner’s home or special experience at celebrity chef’s restaurant
- Rounds of golf at exclusive, private clubs
- Cult wines
Similarly, Silent Auction items that are especially appealing include:
- Fine jewelry and watches
- Gym memberships
- Beauty treatments at spas and salons
- Subscriptions to wine clubs
- Coveted tickets to sporting events
