Volunteers of America engages New York City corporations and their employees in many of our programs. The companies we work with are eager to have their employees volunteer with our programs and have a willingness to be flexible by structuring activities that are carefully tailored to both organization's needs. Employee groups enjoy a variety of experiences, including the fun of taking homeless children to the zoo or circus, the structure of regular weekly meetings to teach children to read or the fulfillment of holding fundraisers on their own.
It's important to understand that volunteering is not a one-way street. Corporations eagerly establish long-term partnerships with human service groups if their employees have satisfying experiences. When volunteers feel engaged and needed, they choose to make volunteering a regular part of their lives.
